Every year, Tamaqua High School's Youth Summit takes on building 'Raider Nests' for Elementary School students. Similar to Easter Baskets, donations of spring items such as, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, Frisbees, coloring books, crayons, markers, jump ropes, etc. are placed into the nests and delivered to both Tamaqua Elementary and West Penn Elementary.
While the Raider Nests are donated annually, Youth Summit Members help with the Schuylkill County Drug Take-Back program and the STC-SKIP Clean up as well as part of the larger Schuylkill County Youth Summit.
Other clubs at Tamaqua have held community wide events this school year as well, including, Foreign Language Club's Safe Trick or Treat in October and Student Government's Kids Helping Kids (which raises funds for Pediatric Cancer) to name a few.
